After years of working in the wedding industry in various roles, Laura Ann Lewis founded Parasol Events in 2004. Laura was determined to create a unique event planning company that would truly demonstrate attention and care for its clients, vendors and employees.

Combining her natural creativity, listening and organizational skills with a work and academic background in management and web and graphic design, Laura has built a reputation for delivering quality event results that exceed client expectations.

Having an eye for beauty and a strong visual aesthetic enables Laura and her team to provide value to clients by creating personalized and appealing event designs for both wedding ceremonies and receptions. In addition, Laura has an uncanny ability to help others maintain focus on the big picture, while establishing and working to practical timelines that ensure each event is a success.

Laura believes that life should be a balance of work and fun. Laura is very active; engaging in running, surfing, cycling, hiking and swimming on a daily basis. For mental stimulation, there is always a book or two on the nightstand, engaging conversations with her husband, family and friends, and domestic and foreign films.

By working in partnership with our brides and grooms, our wedding planners coordinate meaningful ceremonies and elegant tropical receptions in Hawaii that promote celebration and reflect a couple’s unique style and requirements. Our wedding consultants maximize the excitement of venue option evaluation; vendor selection, timeline development and event design as planners guide our couples through the intricacies of destination wedding planning. Ultimately Parasol Events wants to ensure that our brides and grooms enjoy their once in a lifetime experience free of stress and filled with joy.

Parasol Events offers complimentary phone consultations so that we can understand our potential clients expectations, desires and needs. This in turn enables us to recommend the right level of service for their Hawaii wedding.
Parasol Events is committed to every event that it accepts. Each coordinator individually manages their monthly event schedules, to assure responsiveness and availability to all of our clients and vendors. Generally we accept no more than 3 events per consultant per month.

Once you have decided to work with Parasol Events we can get started as soon as we have a signed contract along with the required retainer fee.

Yes, and those budgets are fairly wide ranging. Our client budgets range from $10,000 to over $100,000. We take pride in creating elegant and relaxing wedding experiences for each of our clients.
Yes! On the day of your event we provide an extensive kit with over 100 items that we have carefully selected to have available to our clients and their guests. This kit ranges from the obvious items such as a sewing kit and safety pins to more obscure things like black dress socks for the forgetful groomsmen and foundation for bridesmaids who have undesirable bathing suit strap marks.
